Your favourite Christmas albums

As we all love Christmas music so much, I thought it would be nice to know what are everyone's favourite Christmas albums. I'm always looking to discover new artists or albums that I never thought of to add to my growing collection.

For me, I have 4 Christmas albums on heavy rotation during the Holidays:

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" by Vince Guaraldi Trio - I grew up watching the cartoon every Christmas in French, the music is classic and brings back fond memories. An exasperated Schroeder playing "Jingle Bells" for Lucy is my favourite scene.

"Snowed In" by Hanson - This album equals happiness to me. It's not Christmas without this music playing at my place. Their version of "Little Saint Nick" is even my ringtone during the Holidays.

"Barenaked for the Holidays" by Barenaked Ladies - Totally quirky, random song arrangements, but also some great original songs, especially "Elf's Lament".

And a new addition this year, "Christmas" by Michael Buble - Love the big band orchestra sound and classic songs. Michael's voice is soooo smooth. And his version of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is just lovely.

So, what is everyone listening to at Christmas?

There are so many choices but i would have to say "Soul Christmas".

1. Back Door Santa Clarence Carter
2. The Christmas Song King Curtis
3. White Christmas Otis Redding
4. Silver Bells Booker T. & The MG'S
5. Gee Whiz, It's Christmas Carla Thomas
6. Merry Christmas Baby Otis Redding
7. Presents For Christmas Solomon Burke
8. Jingle Bells Booker T. & The MG'S
9. Every Day Will Be Like A Holiday William Bell
10. What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? King Curtis
11. All I Want For Christmas Is You Carla Thomas
12. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Booker T. & The MG'S
13. This Christmas Donny Hathaway
14. May Christmas Bring You Happiness (1991 Remix) Luther Vandross

Its an amazing album with versions of songs that you just don't hear any more and Otis Redding's version of White Christmas is my favorite Christmas song of all time.

There are so many. A lot of my favorites depend on my mood at the time. sometimes, I don't feel like hearing words, then one of my favorite Cd albums is Kenny G. which is instrumental. Other times I feel like listening to Country or the traditional. I love it all. Even the chipmunks!!
